As time passes, however, pavers tend to sink, resulting in a less eye-pleasing look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>So, let\u2019s take the step-by-step process of fixing and levelling sunken pavers, as in most cases, it\u2019s an easy task you can take care of in less than a weekend.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So you\u2019re determined to fix the awful-looking caved-in pavers, but before you jump right into the action, there are certain preparations. Take your time and gather the right tools to pry them up, prepare the base, and place them back in. Because it\u2019s a fairly simple job, all you\u2019ll need are two flathead screwdrivers, a rubber mallet, screeding (the one used to level concrete) and sand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Lift_the_sunken_pavers\">Step 1. Little by little pry them up while making sure to be gentle so you won\u2019t damage them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re struggling to lift the paver, grab the rubber mallet and tap the surrounding ones to loosen them up a bit. Be careful not to crack them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Clean_the_edges\">Step 2. Removing anything that\u2019s stuck on the sides will result in a better and tighter fit once you place them back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A stiff-bristled brush would be more than enough to clean up the sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Level_the_exposed_ground_beneath_the_sunken_pavers\">Step 3. Remember that it\u2019s normal to still have uneven parts even after levelling. What\u2019s more important is to remove all the bumps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Add_all_purpose_sand\">Step 4.
