The summer season is just around the corner and the time of fun, gatherings and spending some quality time with friends is one of the best things you can do. And, as many people, barbecue gatherings can be one of the best things that you can do. But if you just want to set up your BBQ outside in the backyard, how do you do it? It can be a really hard to set up the barbecue perfectly, and there are definitely some things that you have to consider.
Choosing the Right BBQ
When you go and start looking for a barbecue to buy you have to know what will suit your needs. Here are some questions that you have to consider:
- How big is your backyard?
- How many people do you plan to gather?
- How often do you plan to use it?
It’s important that you answer those questions before you start looking around for a new barbecue. That way you will have a more clear vision of what will be the best choice for you. Do you need a built-in barbeque or something more flexible like portable barbeque?
What you need to consider before installing your barbeque
Okay, so after you know what your perfect BBQ looks like, and you have some kind of idea of the dimensions, then comes the time to choose the right place. The things that you have to consider are mainly around the placement of the barbecue itself. Of course, if you are going to build the whole thing placement is the most important thing, because you can’t move it if the place isn’t suitable.
Can you see your BBQ?
So, that’s one of the most important things that you have to consider. You need to have a clear sight of the barbecue at all times. Because it’s an open fire, you have to know what’s happening while you have to go inside the house for more products or something else.
Consider what surrounds the barbeque!
As we mentioned, the barbeque is an open fire, and an open fire set close to vegetation of any kind can be very dangerous! It’s important to consider where might be the best place to set the barbeque, and if you love to grow plants and don’t have much free space in your backyard we would suggest that you make!
Is the place you consider windy?
If the answer is yes, then we would suggest that you don’t choose this as the location for your BBQ. Wind can blow the smouldering coals and start a fire. It’s also unpleasant to have ashes blowing in your face while you cook.
Also, consider the position of the wind blowing. Is it towards your patio or the place where you would sit the guests. Set the barbeque to blow in the other direction.
All set up? Great! Now it’s time to make those mouthwatering burgers and veggies! Share with us what’s your favourite barbeque meal!
